Take Design Tech at Colfax High School! • Learn in hands-on wood, metal, electronic & computer classes • Work on fun projects to develop your creative design skills • Use hand tools, computers and automated equipment • Find out about interesting, highly paid local career Take Design Tech classes to use your creativity and discover careers: • Take the introductory class to sample Design Tech skills • Choose advanced classes in wood, metal, electronics and computers • Complete Design Tech with a capstone class advanced project Through hands-on project based learning, you’ll be introduced to design principals. You’ll rotate through Woodworking, Metal, Electronics and Computers sections of the introductory course and build parts of a project. Discover what interests you and select more advanced courses. Develop applied academic skills that you can use on the job in in college and on the job in design, engineering, manufacturing and technology careers.
